AUGMENTATIVE & ALTERNATIVE COMMUNICATION (AAC)
AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) is designed for individuals who have difficulty communicating through verbal speech. This can include individuals with developmental disabilities, neurological disorders, or Autism Spectrum Disorder. AAC provides a range of tools and strategies to support communication and improve quality of life for those struggling to communicate verbally.

AAC does not replace verbal speech. In fact, most studies show that it actually encourages verbal speech. AAC allows children with limited verbal output the opportunity to communicate wants and needs with family, friends, and educators.
